Stop Smoking 

Every year 13,000 Scots die from smoking related illnesses.  According to the Chief Medical Officer for Scotland, smoking is the biggest cause of preventable death in Scotland, and a recent study has claimed that 11,000 people die in Britain every year from the effects of passive smoking….. 

…isn’t it time you stopped smoking…………NOW! 

According to the NHS the benefits of stopping smoking include: 

  • Reducing your risk of developing illness, disability or death caused by cancer, heart or lung disease
  • Reducing your risk of gangrene or amputation caused by circulatory problems
  • Saving money!!! – can be as much as several hundred pounds a month if you are a heavy smoker
  • Improving your fertility levels and your chance of a healthy pregnancy and baby
  • Reducing the chances of your children suffering from asthma or glue ear
  • Protecting the health of those around you by not exposing them to second-hand smoke
  • No longer smelling of stale tobacco

I use a combination of Hypnosis and NLP for “stop smoking” sessions as this has been found to be the most effective method in helping people to stop smoking for good.  This combination has been shown to be successful in over 90% of cases. 

A “stop smoking” session is usually a one-off session lasting anything up to 2 hours and it requires absolute commitment from the client.  Before the session the client is asked to get rid of all evidence of smoking from their home/car/office etc. (including the “emergency pack!”). This is a very important part of the process and if it is not done then the client is unlikely to succeed.
